Protect Our Patch is a community led response to protect our patch of the Territory & deal with issues like gamba that put homes at risk.
Life in the Top End is special – vibrant landscapes & unique lifestyle, along with challenges that go with it. The spread of dangerous gamba grass is increasingly putting more pressure on wildlife, on families and on our safety.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
For too long, we’ve seen more finger pointing than weed pulling. We’re determined to change that – to get on the front foot, to help that neighbour who might not yet been able to get rid of gamba, and show that with a little determination and drive, we can ensure a healthy future for us and our neighbours.
This community led response is a public commitment to the people around us, a commitment to our wildlife and the lifestyle that defines who we are as Territorians.
